CD&A Data Scientist, Obesity – Senior Associate (Hybrid)
Role requires three days a week on-site.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical/data science solutions for commercial decision-making (forecasting inputs, patient/market segmentation, performance analytics)
- Apply statistical and machine-learning techniques to large commercial datasets
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation
- Interpret results in commercial context and with data limitations
- Write/optimize SQL queries to extract/transform/analyze enterprise data
- Work with cloud-based analytics environments and curated data assets
- Support repeatable analytics workflows and model deployment
- Build dashboards/visualizations (Tableau or Spotfire)
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches; communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
- Support commercial reviews, planning, and ad-hoc analyses
- Manage multiple priorities; apply structured problem-solving; ensure data governance/compliance/documentation
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience OR
- Associate’s degree + 6 years relevant experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Python and/or R; strong SQL and relational databases
- Tableau/Spotfire (or similar); cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS)
- Statistical modeling/ML concepts; synthesize complex analyses into business insights
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/commercial analytics experience; strong collaboration/communication
