CD&A Data Scientist, Obesity – Associate (Hybrid)
What You Will Do
- Support development and enhancement of analytical solutions for commercial decision-making (forecasting inputs, patient/market segmentation, performance analytics)
- Apply statistical and machine-learning techniques to commercial and healthcare datasets
- Perform exploratory data analysis, data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Interpret analytical results in context of business objectives, data quality, and methodological limitations
- Document and quality review analytical methods and outputs
- Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze enterprise data
- Use Python and/or R to clean data, run analyses, and support analytical model development
- Work in cloud-based analytics environments using curated enterprise data assets
- Support repeatable analytical workflows, code documentation, quality control, and model deployment
- Develop dashboards/reports/visualizations (Tableau or Spotfire)
- Troubleshoot data/analytical issues with senior/technology partners
- Translate business questions into analytical tasks; summarize findings for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support commercial reviews, planning, and ad hoc analyses; collaborate with forecasting/insights/strategy/technology partners
- Manage analytical tasks/timelines; apply structured problem-solving and attention to detail; follow data governance/compliance/privacy/documentation standards
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree and 4 years relevant experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications (skills/experience)
- Python and/or R; SQL and relational databases; Tableau/Spotfire; cloud platforms (Databricks/Azure/AWS)
- Statistical modeling/ML concepts; large/complex dataset preparation and analysis
- Clear communication of analytics to business questions; pharma/biotech/healthcare/commercial analytics experience; strong collaboration and attention to detail
