Category Manager, Professional Services/ Consulting

Role: Lead the development and execution of enterprise category strategies for Professional Services and Consulting across AbbVie's global operations, managing categories with at least $250 million annual spend. Responsibilities: develop multi-year plans using spend analysis and stakeholder input; lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives from opportunity identification to contracting and implementation; negotiate master service agreements, statements of work, and commercial terms; establish supplier governance and performance monitoring; build stakeholder relationships and secure adoption of strategies; utilize analytics for spend management and market insights; ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications: bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; 6+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management; experience in developing category strategies, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing external services; strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills; proficiency with sourcing and analytics tools.
