Responsibilities:
- Promote the utilization of the NNI Procurement Methodology through Category Management and Strategic Sourcing.
- Acquire high-quality goods/services at best possible prices by negotiating and monitoring contracts and supplier relationships.
- Improve investment efficiency and ensure fair value and service accountability.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and drive agreement through consensus management.
- Support Clinical Services primarily; support additional categories/cross-categorical initiatives as business needs arise.
- Demonstrate market/industry/customer understanding; identify and share best practices.
- Influence stakeholders through collaboration, spend analysis, and summary reports/presentations.
- Support supplier diversity and inclusion in sourcing initiatives.
- Manage supplier performance: act as liaison and monitor compliance with supplier agreements.
- Partner strategically: develop category business requirements, benchmark costs, define supplier selection criteria, lead cross-functional sourcing teams, and maximize cost savings without sacrificing quality/service.
- Utilize and enhance procurement systems/tools; ensure compliance and coordinate with Corporate Procurement on global sourcing projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required (advanced degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute).
- 3β5 years progressively responsible experience in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing, including 3+ years with indirect spend categories and/or managing eSourcing events.
- Preferred: experience across diverse sourcing categories/groups, with primary experience in Clinical Services/Clinical Operations; ability to support other indirect categories (e.g., Marketing, IT, Market Research, Data & Analytics, Logistics & Distribution, Patient Support Solutions).
- Helpful: pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Leadership ability to act as project lead.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and eSourcing/contracting tools (e.g., Coupa).
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies/processes.
Physical Requirements:
- 0β10% overnight travel.
