Case Manager, West Coast

Role: Patient Access Specialist focusing on assessing patient needs and facilitating treatment initiation and continuation with Alnylam's RNAi therapeutics. Responsibilities encompass developing understanding of reimbursement processes, assisting with insurance approvals, educating patients and providers on coverage and assistance programs, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role involves navigating complex insurance and billing issues, maintaining expertise in disease and reimbursement landscapes, and representing Alnylam at industry events. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years in healthcare or biotech case management, with experience in insurance reimbursement, patient assistance, and knowledge of private, Medicare, and Medicaid systems. Experience with infusion/injectable therapies, CRM systems like Salesforce, and strong communication skills are essential. Preferred: experience in rare diseases, home care management, utilization review, or related fields. The position requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently, influence cross-functional teams, and travel approximately 5%, including weekends/evenings as needed.
