Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the case management process; balance individual patient needs with business objectives.
- Assess patients’ access needs and create action plans to initiate and continue treatment.
- Facilitate insurance approvals for Sanofi Rare Disease therapies (product and administration).
- Educate patients, caregivers, and providers on insurance options, requirements/limitations, case management services, and steps to obtain approvals.
- Maintain expertise in reimbursement, health care system navigation, billing/coding, insurance plans, payer trends, and patient assistance programs/resources.
- Enroll eligible patients in appropriate financial assistance programs.
- Apply knowledge of regional resources and market landscape to support patient access.
- Compliantly coordinate exchange of patient information with internal/external stakeholders.
- Provide cross-functional leadership; identify complex patient issues and develop action plans.
- Establish/maintain professional relationships with stakeholders (case management, patient support services, medical, sales, market access, insurers, specialty pharmacies, infusion site staff, coordinators).
- Attend patient meetings, site visits/calls, conferences, and trade shows; represent the company professionally.
- Monitor for care gaps and propose improvements to the support program.
- Share reimbursement/related knowledge with PSS via training, case studies, consultation, and special projects.
- Maintain and document accurate patient/provider and coverage data; use CRM to document work and support reporting/analytics.
- Provide caseload coverage outside assigned territory as needed; ensure compliance with Sanofi policies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of patient-facing or high-touch customer interaction experience required.

Skills/Required:
- In-depth understanding of health insurance benefits, state/federal laws, and insurance regulations.
- Excellent written/oral communication, mediation, and problem-solving; strong ability to connect with patients, caregivers, and providers.
- Success in complex matrix environments with a patient-centric approach.
- Strong people skills (flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, trust).
- Strong computer/data entry skills; proficiency with MS Office.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to travel (~10%, possibly weekends).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish bilingual skills.
- Salesforce CRM experience.
- Direct experience in case management, insurance, or healthcare systems.
- Pharma/biotech patient services experience.
