Patient Advocacy
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the case management process, balancing patient needs with business objectives.
- Assess patient access needs and create action plans to initiate and continue treatment.
- Facilitate insurance approvals for therapies.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and providers on insurance options, requirements/limitations, and steps for product/administration approval.
- Maintain expertise in reimbursement, health care navigation, billing/coding guidelines, payer trends, and patient assistance programs.
- Enroll eligible patients into appropriate financial assistance programs.
- Stay current on regional resources and market access landscape; apply to support patient access.
- Compliantly coordinate exchange of patient information with internal/external stakeholders.
- Lead within a cross-functional team; identify complex patient issues and develop action plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., insurance companies, specialty pharmacies, infusion sites).
- Attend patient meetings/site visits/calls and represent the company professionally.
- Drive knowledge sharing with PSS members (training, case studies, complex case consultation).
- Maintain accurate documentation/data in CRM (insurance, approvals, ongoing requirements, interactions).
- Provide caseload coverage outside assigned territory as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Sanofi policies.

About You (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of patient-facing/high-touch customer interaction experience.

Skills
- In-depth understanding of health insurance benefits, state/federal laws and regulations.
- Strong written/oral communication, mediation, and problem-solving.
- Experience working in complex matrix environments with a patient-centric approach.
- Strong computer literacy (data entry, MS Office) and business acumen.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues independently and collaboratively.
- Travel ~10%, possibly weekends; working hours align to supported geography.

Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish bilingual.
- Salesforce CRM experience.
- Direct experience in case management/insurance/healthcare systems.
- Pharma/biotech patient services experience.
