Role Summary

This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) designs customized customer experiences, acts as the primary point of contact, and uses clinical selling, account selling, access navigation, problem solving, team orchestration, and omni-channel engagement to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Pinpoint mutual priorities and use insights across the entire account to formulate a strategic territory plan that aims to enhance product demand by addressing key partners‚Äô and patients‚Äô requirements.
  • Encourage clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for their patients and involve the entire account team to identify barriers and offer solutions.
  • Apply market, competitor, and industry insight to foresee and manage opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead planning meetings with key stakeholders to tackle complex issues and collaborate across departments to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Analyze territory market data to understand the local business landscape, promote engagement, and lead both virtual and live customer interactions.
  • Use omni-channel strategies to maximize Novartis capabilities for personalized engagement with customers, in person or virtually.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to meet customer needs and provide access support.
  • Deliver timely access assistance and work with Patient Specialty Services associates to address customer requirements efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor‚Äôs degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 2+ years of experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
  • Required: Ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment, effectively communicate clinical product details, maintain a track record of high performance, and navigate and sell to large accounts and key customer segments.
  • Required: Strong analytical skills to identify and prioritize data-driven solutions for key customers; ethical leadership and compliance with company policies and laws.
  • Required: Must reside within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; travel 60-80% across a broad geography; valid driver‚Äôs license.
  • Preferred: Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
  • Preferred: Broad understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement and/or medical calling on HCPs regarding sophisticated products or reimbursement pathways.
