Role Summary

This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) designs customized customer experiences tailored to the needs of each account and Health Care Provider, serving as the primary point of contact to address mutual priorities and patient outcomes through problem-solving and cross-functional resources. Roles include clinical selling, account selling, access navigation, and omni-channel engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Pinpoint mutual priorities and formulate a strategic territory business plan to enhance product demand by addressing key partners and patient needs, aiming for exceptional outcomes.
  • Encourage clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for patients and involve the entire account team to identify barriers and offer solutions.
  • Apply market knowledge, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to anticipate and manage opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct planning meetings with key stakeholders to tackle complex customer issues and collaborate across departments to fulfill requirements.
  • Analyze market data and trends within the territory to understand the local landscape and lead virtual and live engagements with customers.
  • Utilize omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement with customers, in person or virtually.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to meet customer needs and deliver access support.
  • Deliver timely access assistance and work with Patient Specialty Services associates to address customer requirements efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • 2+ years‚Äô experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment, communicate clinical product details, maintain a track record of high performance, and sell to large accounts and key customer segments.
  • Analytical, data-driven approach with ethical leadership and compliance with policies and laws.
  • Residence within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; willingness to travel 60-80% across a broad geography; valid driver‚Äôs license.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
  • Understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs for sophisticated products or reimbursement pathways.
