Role Summary
Health & Science Professional (HSP) within Pfizer’s Cardiology team, responsible for increasing territory sales and relationship development with assigned customers by engaging in product promotion and determining the best strategies to manage the business. Requires customer, market, and business acumen, analytical skills, and strong product and disease state knowledge; ability to drive sales, promotional and strategic business development; strong customer engagement in person and virtually; proficient with digital tools; and capability to work remotely with cross-functional internal teams to meet Pfizer objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drives sales in assigned territory.
- Engages with customers both face to face and virtually.
- Develops and implements effective business and territory call plans; identifies and implements live/virtual engagement strategies to maximize impact.
- Builds rapport and relationships with customers in both live and virtual environments; leverages digital tools for engagement.
- Uses internal reports and analytics to identify, develop, and implement strategic opportunities.
- Educates providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions with disease-state context and patient resources, as applicable.
- Collaborates across the organization to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
- Completes all administrative tasks on time and compliantly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (or associate’s degree with 6+ years; or high school diploma with 8+ years).
- Professional Sales or Promotional Activity.
- Small business owner or entrepreneurial experience, marketing, customer service, and/or account management.
- Relevant healthcare/scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT).
- Educator (e.g., teacher, principal) or full-time military experience acceptable.
- Must reside within 25 miles of the territory border.
- Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; DUI/DWI or impaired driving in past 7 years disqualifies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical sales or medical marketing experience.
- Track record of sales/marketing success, strong territory management, excellent communications, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
- Experience with applicable disease states, therapeutic area, and products.
- Knowledge of territory customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Residence within territory boundaries.
Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements
- Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory.
- Overnight stays may be required depending on territory size and business needs.
Education
