Cardiovascular Disease Specialist β St. Louis
Merck
Cardiovascular Disease Specialist (field-based sales) covering the St. Louis, MO territory and surrounding areas. Collaborate with Account Executives and healthcare system leaders to deliver patient-focused solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory-level business plan aligned with policies and ethics.
- Maintain current product knowledge and certifications.
- Conduct balanced, compliant product sales discussions aligned to product labeling.
- Provide management updates on customer needs, marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.
- Use headquarter-approved information on approved products, disease, and marketplace.
- Monitor business performance vs. objectives using company tools.
Qualifications:
- S1: BA/BS, or high school diploma/equivalent with 0β3 years relevant experience (sales/marketing/military/healthcare or scientific fields).
- S2: BA/BS, or high school diploma/equivalent with 3+ years sales experience (or 6+ years relevant experience).
- Analyze complex data to develop strategic sales plans.
- Comfortable using digital tools/platforms with healthcare professionals.
- Flexible/adaptable to market and customer needs; strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Independent and organized; works well in teams.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Reside in territory (within 25 miles of workload center for metro, or 75 miles for non-metro); relocate at own expense if outside.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Sales/account management/consultative or customer service experience.
- Metrics analysis; 3+ years relevant sales; cardiovascular sales with cardiology/endocrinology relationships.
- Product launches; simplify complex information; advanced analytics; multi-channel tools; proactive/agile learning.
