Role Summary
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist - Southwest Wisconsin (Madison) focuses on achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively promote Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic portfolio to HCPs and office staff.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competencies with territory-level impact
- Understands local payer market designs, coverage, and cost-sharing factors affecting customer decisions
- Identifies business opportunities by understanding territory customer groups and affiliations
- Analyzes bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status as applicable
- Assesses impact of managed care on prescribing decisions and adjusts strategies
- Develops relationships with specialists, hospital decision-makers, and other influencers of purchasing and formulary decisions
- Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and business practices
- Uses market knowledge to develop and execute territory business plans
- Gains access and maintains relationships with prescribers, staff, pharmacies, and clinic administrators to drive business impact through collaboration on patient management with NNI-approved solutions
- Maintains professionalism and customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborates across functions to share knowledge and opportunities to impact customers
- Implements Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers during company-sponsored meetings, including pre-call planning and uncovering needs
- Evaluates opportunities and creates territory plans to engage customers and gain commitment to use NNI products
- Communicates with internal stakeholders to implement plans and define roles/responsibilities
- Manages samples, company property, and discretionary budgets to support sales goals
- Understands disease states and treatment options, including NNI and competitor products
- Engages customers with knowledge of promoted clinical studies and proper placement within treatment continuum
- Participates in sales and marketing meetings, training, conventions, and displays
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent (PharmD required)
- Minimum one year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service, or Military (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software is ideal
- Self-starter with the ability to evaluate options and decide with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
- Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity therapy areas and Novo Nordisk products; ability to learn and communicate technical and scientific information
