Role Summary
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I - Toledo, OH. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively sell and promote Novo Nordisk's portfolio of cardiometabolic products to healthcare professionals and office staff. Supports cross-functional collaboration and builds relationships to advance patient care in the local market.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact
- Understands local payer market designs and the impact on customer decisions
- Identifies business opportunities by understanding territory customer groups and affiliations
- Analyzes bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status, where applicable
- Assesses managed care impact on prescribing decisions and adjusts sales strategies
- Develops relationships with specialists, hospital decision-makers, and other influencers
- Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and business practices
- Uses territory market insights to develop and execute business plans
- Gains access and builds relationships with prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, and clinics
- Maintains professionalism and customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborates across functions to share knowledge and opportunities
- Implements Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers and at company-sponsored meetings

Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or equivalent degree, and/or Pharm D required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service or Military (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software is ideal
- Self-starter with ability to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
- Solid understanding of current therapy areas (diabetes and obesity) and Novo Nordisk products; ability to communicate technical information
