Role Summary
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I โ Terre Haute, IN. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively promote Novo Nordisk's portfolio to healthcare professionals and office staff.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact
- Understanding of local payer market designs and their impact on customer decisions
- Understands territory customer groups and affiliations to identify business opportunities and tailor approaches
- Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status, as applicable
- Assess impact of managed care on prescribing decisions and adjust sales/promotion strategies
- Develop and utilize relationships with specialists, hospital decision-makers, and others who influence purchasing and formulary decisions
- Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and accounts' practices
- Develops and executes territory business plans using market conditions, trends, priorities, and patient needs
- Develops plans to gain access and maintain relationships with prescribers, staff, pharmacies, and clinics to drive business impact
- Demonstrates professionalism with internal and external stakeholders by listening and addressing needs
- Collaborates across functions to share knowledge and opportunities to impact customers
- Implements Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers and during company-sponsored meetings
- Uses analytical tools to evaluate opportunities and create plans to engage customers and gain commitment to use products
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to implement plans and define roles/responsibilities
- Manages samples and company property per policy; manages territory and marketing program budgets
- Understands disease states and treatment options, including knowledge of NNI and competitor products
- Is knowledgeable about promoted clinical studies and engages customers with balanced information
- Participates in sales and marketing meetings, trainings, and events
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required
- Minimum one year of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, sales, consulting, customer service, or military (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software preferred
- Self-starter with ability to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
- Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity therapy areas and Novo Nordisk products; ability to learn and communicate technical information
