The Position
- Achieve sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to sell and promote Novo Nordisk’s portfolio to HCPs and other office staff.

Essential Functions
- Build territory impact by demonstrating competencies consistently.
- Understand local payer market (Medicare/Commercial/Medicaid; coverage, step therapy, gaps, copays, deductibles) and how it affects customer decisions.
- Identify business opportunities using territory customer groups (IPAs, Medical Groups, Health Systems, Local Clinics).
- Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status.
- Assess managed care impact on prescribing and adjust sales/promotion strategies.
- Develop relationships with specialists and hospital decision-makers influencing purchasing/prescribing/formulary.
- Research and tailor account plans based on stakeholders and account practices.
- Use territory market/competitive trends and patient needs to develop and execute territory business plans.
- Gain and maintain customer access (prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, clinic administrators) and collaborate on clinical management using NNI-approved solutions.
- Use the Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model for strategic planning, customer engagement, objection handling, and calls to action.
- Use analytical tools to create territory business plans and meet sales goals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define roles and ensure accountability.
- Manage samples/company property and discretionary territory budgets per policy.
- Demonstrate disease-state and treatment-option knowledge; maintain balanced understanding of NNI and competitor products and clinical studies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent) and/or PharmD required.
- 1+ year experience in pharma/healthcare, sales, consulting, customer service, or military preferred.
- Intermediate Windows/Word/Excel; sales data/call reporting software experience ideal.
- Self-starter with decision-making ability; leadership aptitude.
- Strong knowledge/ability to learn diabetes and obesity therapy areas and communicate technical/scientific information.
- Valid driver’s license and good standing per driving record threshold.
