Role Summary
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I - P Bellaire Texas role focused on achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to promote Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic product portfolio to healthcare professionals and staff.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact
- Demonstrates understanding of the local payer market and its impact on customer decisions
- Understands territory customer groups and affiliations to identify opportunities and tailor approaches
- Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status, as applicable
- Assess the impact of managed care on prescribing decisions and adjust sales/promotion strategies
- Develop and utilize relationships with specialists and hospital decision-makers and other influencers
- Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and account practices
- Utilize understanding of the territory market to develop and execute territory business plans
- Develop and implement plans to gain access and build business-relevant relationships with prescribers, staff, pharmacies, and clinic administrators
- Demonstrate professionalism and customer focus; listen, address needs, and keep commitments
- Collaborate across functions to share knowledge and opportunities
- Implement Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers and during company-sponsored meetings
- Plan strategically, engage customers, uncover needs, adapt approach, gain commitments, and coordinate with internal stakeholders
- Evaluate territory opportunities and create plans to meet sales goals using payer opportunities and product strategies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement plans and define roles
- Manage samples, company property, and budgets to support territory goals
- Demonstrate understanding of disease states and treatment options; knowledge of NNI and competitor products
- Engage customers with fair balance on proper placement within the treatment continuum
- Participate in sales/marketing meetings, training, conventions as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or equivalent degree, and/or Pharm D required
- Minimum one year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service, or Military
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software ideal
- Self-starter with ability to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
- Solid understanding of current therapy areas (diabetes and obesity) and product knowledge
