Role Summary
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I in Alexandria, Louisiana. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively promote Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic portfolio to healthcare professionals and office staff.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk's portfolio of products to HCPs and other office staff.
- Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact.
- Demonstrates understanding of the local payer market including Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid benefit designs and their impact on customer decisions.
- Develops and sustains internal relationships by collaborating across functions to impact customers.
- Develops and implements plans to gain access and build relationships with prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, and clinic administrators to drive business impact.
- Demonstrates proficiency in implementing the Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers and during company sponsored meetings.
- Exercises prudent control over samples and other company property and manages discretionary budget to support territory sales goals.
- Demonstrates a clear and thorough understanding of the disease state(s) and treatment options, including knowledge of NNI and competitor products.
- Participates in and contributes product and disease state knowledge during sales and marketing meetings and trainings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service or Military (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software is ideal
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
- Solid understanding of current therapy areas (diabetes and obesity) and Novo Nordisk’s products, with ability to communicate technical information

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or PharmD required
