Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed established sales budgets with accountability for territory results.
- Drive appropriate utilization of approved products with HF specialists, cardiology, nephrology, emergency medicine, nurse practitioners, HF clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals in assigned accounts.
- Apply knowledge of heart failure and the marketplace to manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Provide field-based input to the Regional Sales Director and colleagues for strategic/tactical planning.
- Prepare, maintain, present, and implement strategic customer and institutional territory plans.
- Execute marketing/sales initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Operate within defined territory expense budgets and manage resources to achieve objectives.
- Conduct speakers programs (except where prohibited).
- Lead customer experience, satisfaction, and retention.
- Build deep understanding of account needs, stakeholders, and competitive situations.
- Use sales reports to identify territory potential and key HF stakeholders.
- Complete administrative responsibilities efficiently (healthcare compliance, expense reports, call reporting in Veeva CRM, and other assignments by deadlines).
- Provide input to functions supporting ongoing sales market development.
- Measure progress to objectives and deliver business results.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree (accredited 4-year required).
- 5+ years healthcare sales experience (pharma specialty, hospital, medical device/diagnostics, or related); cardiovascular experience preferred.
- 1-year institutional sales preferred; IDN experience plus.
- Top-30% achievement (2 of last 5 years).
- Product launch experience; Medicare population experience plus.
- Strong customer service approach; solution oriented.
- Exemplary customer service; strong written/verbal communication; polished meeting presenter.
- Experience covering large geography; ability to travel overnight as needed.
- Experience with HUB and specialty pharmacies.
- Medicare population coverage facilitation OR extensive prior authorization experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; prior CRM use.
- Satisfactory driving record per company policy.
