Calibration Technician — Tuesday-Saturday 10:00pm–8:30am shift (training Monday-Friday 8:00am–4:30pm for ~6 months). Premium shifts receive incentive pay (shift differential and/or weekend pay).
Typical day / Responsibilities:
- Calibrate temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instrumentation
- Perform loop checks, tuning, troubleshooting, and instrumentation start-up
- Work with medium and low voltages
- Perform basic plumbing and tube bending
- Assist Facilities Management-Maintenance (FM-M) and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities/process issues
- Complete daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM); coordinate PM/WO workflow and documentation
- Communicate/coordinate with departments and Facilities Management for planned and unplanned work events
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Support other facility-related tasks outside normal calibration duties (as needed)
- Plan/schedule outside contractors/vendors for scheduled or non-scheduled PM/general work
- Ensure safe, efficient hands-on maintenance with adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, and quality standards
- Participate in compliance investigations when necessary
- Full gowning required on the production floor
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Qualifications / Skills:
- Basic problem-solving; able to learn and follow procedures independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable/flexible in a changing environment
- Lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
- Positive working relationships; strong written/verbal communication; effective time management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with computer systems
- Willing/able to work Tue–Sat 10:00pm–8:30am
- Prefer AAS degree (Engineering or Construction Technologies)
- Calibration Technician II: 2+ years related experience (or HSD/GED + 5+ years)
- Calibration Technician III: 5+ years related experience (or HSD/GED + 8+ years)
- Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years related experience (or HSD/GED + 8+ years)
- Prior large-scale utilities plant maintenance/operation experience preferred
- ISA CCST certification strongly preferred (not required)
