Role Summary
Calibration Technician to join our manufacturing support team on a Saturday–Wednesday 10:00pm–8:30am shift. The role involves mechanical, electrical, calibration, electronic, or utility-related tasks to support plant operations. Training is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm for approximately 6 months before transitioning to the late shift. Premium shifts may include incentive pay.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow and analytical instruments
- Perform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation
- Work with medium and low voltages
- Perform basic plumbing and tube bending
- Assist Facilities Management-Maintenance and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process issues
- Perform daily Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance, and coordinate workflow and documentation
- Coordinate with departments and Facilities Management for planned and unplanned work events
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Occasionally work on other facility tasks outside calibration duties
- Plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors for PM or general work as needed
- Ensure safe, efficient hands-on maintenance of plant manufacturing equipment and related support equipment in adherence to SOPs and quality standards
- Participate in compliance investigations when necessary
- Full gowning required on production floor
- Participate in rotation on-call schedule
Qualifications
- Required: Willing and able to work a Saturday–Wednesday 10:00pm–8:30am schedule
- Required: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to follow routine procedures both independently and in a team
- Required: Comfortable with a changing environment and willing to work in that context
- Required: Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
- Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: AAS degree in Engineering or Construction Technologies related area
- Preferred: ISA CCST Certification
- Preferred: 2+ years of related experience for Calibration Technician II, 5+ years for III, or 8+ years for IV (or equivalent HSD/GED with related experience)
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy
- Effective time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
Education
- AAS degree preferred in Engineering or Construction Technologies related area
Additional Requirements
- Prior experience in maintenance and operation of large-scale utilities plants is preferred
- ISA CCST Certification strongly preferred but not required
