Business Systems Engineer - Enterprise Applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, implement, and support enterprise and business systems across departments.
- Partner with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical/system configurations.
- Lead cross-functional, IS/IT-centric projects to align business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT resources.
- Collaborate with IT staff and external vendors to deploy, integrate, and optimize systems supporting operational growth.
- Work with the CSV team to ensure implementation tasks align with validation processes (system setup, environment readiness, data preparation, issue resolution).
- Support and troubleshoot system integrations, user access issues, and AWS/Azure environment dependencies.
- Participate in data migration and environment setup during deployments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and change controls.
- Identify and escalate project risks, blockers, or dependencies to the Associate Director of IT.
- Provide post-implementation support and assist with steady-state ownership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years implementing/supporting enterprise and business systems in biotech or pharmaceutical organizations.
- Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault, ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle), and AWS/Azure.
- Familiarity with GxP, SOX, and data integrity principles.
- Understanding of clinical-phase and commercial-phase biotech operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with IT, QA/CSV, and business teams.
