Role Summary

Business Development Director at Johnson & Johnson. Lead long-range strategic planning and business development programs within Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular, Neurovascular, Aesthetics and Reconstruction spaces. Develop and execute strategies, manage alliances, and drive new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of long-range strategic planning and business development programs in specified spaces.
  • Maintain, strengthen, and expand relationships with strategic partners in the imaging space.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop and execute business development strategies.
  • Lead scouting efforts to identify external targets of interest and build rapport with them.
  • Develop and execute strategies to pursue new business opportunities and influence business direction.
  • Translate unmet customer and market needs to identify opportunities (e.g., licensing, M&A, joint ventures, distribution/development/supply agreements, IP, co-promoting, divestitures, auctions).
  • Determine screening criteria, value creation, and rationale for targeting opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for opportunities aligned with goals of Marketing and R&D.
  • Deliver oral presentations to management boards to obtain approval for new opportunities.
  • Manage long-term alliances with target partners to ensure alignment of interests.
  • Initiate, negotiate, structure, and close deals with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, or related field, and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Business Development Director-related occupation.
  • Preferred: Experience in strategic planning, healthcare/medtech sectors, and deal execution across licensing, M&A, joint ventures, and distribution agreements.

Additional Requirements
