Bioinformatics Application Scientist, NGS

Role: Customer-facing bioinformatics application scientist supporting Twist’s NGS target enrichment products, with a focus on pre- and post-sales technical support, custom panel design, and market development. Responsibilities: serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, support NGS data analysis, guide experiments, conduct customer presentations, and collaborate with sales and product teams. Maintain current knowledge of genomics research and advancements. Requirements: PhD in Bioinformatics, Genetics, or Molecular Biology with 2+ years biotech experience, or BS/MS with 7+ years industry experience; strong expertise in NGS applications, bioinformatics tools (e.g., BWA, GATK), Linux environment, and excellent communication skills. Preferred: background in Medical Genetics, Oncology, or Immunology; 4+ years customer-facing experience; wet lab NGS library prep.
