AWS Platform/API Engineer

AWS Platform/API Engineer (Hybrid: 3 fixed days in office / up to 2 days WFH)

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in design of APIs for reusable services.
- Develop APIs and services enabling seamless workflow across multiple platforms.
- Develop solutions using Python or Java.
- Engineer and deliver AWS-hosted APIs and solutions.
- Implement integration protocols and techniques for efficient system interaction.
- Connect cloud and on-premises applications to create a cohesive IT infrastructure.
- Automate using native AWS technologies and DevOps.
- Implement security measures across integration solutions to protect sensitive data.
- Provide guidance and training to junior integration engineers and other staff members.

Qualifications:
- BS in computer science, computer engineering, electronics & communications engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience as a platform engineer or API engineer.
- 5 years coding on the AWS platform with at least 2 of: Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js.
- 1 year each in:
- AWS CloudFormation or Terraform (IaC) for automated, repeatable cloud resource provisioning.
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) plus monitoring/logging tools.
- CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and Azure DevOps with GitHub version control.
- Bash or Python scripting for automation and system management.
