The Position
Responsibilities:
- Assist in operation, maintenance, and system management of process control systems; support troubleshooting during process downtime.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair control system hardware; perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
- Assist with maintenance procedure development, control system installations, and hardware inventory management.
- Schedule/execute maintenance plans with production schedules; support technical clarifications with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external vendors/contractors to solve problems and implement improvements.
- Maintain/improve process control systems; adhere to automation/IT standards, Change Management, CGMPs, and safety/environment requirements.
- Develop training as needed; coach/train colleagues and stakeholders.
- Apply cLEAN tools to solve problems/improve processes; implement improvements with minimal guidance.
Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Required: Associate’s degree (or GED with 12 years) plus 8+ years automated/process control system experience.
- Required: Proficiency supporting process control systems; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Required: Troubleshooting automated/IT systems (interfaces/hardware) and PLC programming.
- Required: Experience with one or more—PLC (Rockwell/Siemens), HMI, PCS/DCS (DeltaV/iFix), Historian (OSI PI/iBatch), SCADA, MES (Syncade/PAS-X), MS SQL.
- Required: Oral/written communication; cross-functional teamwork; disciplined decision-making; accountability; availability for overtime/different shifts.
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Food/Cosmetic/Beverage industry experience.
