Lead/Support the continuous operation of AbbVie Bioresearch Centerโ€™s IT and Automation systems, and establish a stable and future-ready digital foundation.

Responsibilities:
- Act as lead technical expert for Automation Applications, Process Control and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Maintain system availability, prepare performance metrics, and work with stakeholders/users to meet service objectives.
- Provide input and recommendations on business continuance and improvements to operating systems/processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory and company mandates.
- Provide guidance, technical advice, planning, and project management (including with outside consultants/vendors).
- Develop strategic roadmaps for Automation Applications and Process Control systems with Digital Systems and business management resources.
- Dashboard development; data integration for business intelligence; rollout of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Train onsite Users/Engineers on automation technologies/applications.
- Provide after-hours (on-call) support on a regular rotation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) or equivalent education/work experience.
- 5+ years relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (e.g., Foxboro I/A, Rockwell PlantPAx, Emerson DeltaV).
- Experience administering/configuring data historian systems (e.g., OSIsoft PI), including commissioning/qualification and computerized systems validation.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes; knowledge of MES (e.g., POMSnet, Emerson Syncade, Werum PAS-X).
- Coding experience in VB, C#, or other standard languages.
- Experience with FactoryTalk and SCADA (preferred).
- PLC experience and ladder logic/instruction texts; HMI screen development/management (plus).
- Windows Server, Active Directory, NTFS security, user administration, TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS (plus).
- Business intelligence/data visualization (preferred); Industry 4.0 exposure (preferred).

Other required attributes: lead project initiatives; lead a team; excellent communication/analytical skills; troubleshoot and take corrective actions; good visual acuity.
