Operations
The Position
- Ensure new processes and equipment are compliant with line of business and global standards.
- Coordinate with local/global teams to design equipment/processes to meet URS/IFA; ensure readiness for installation/qualification and successful ramp-up.
- Improve reliability of process control systems to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements; serve as gatekeeper for standards.
Essential Functions
- Ensure process design compliance with local/global standards.
- Develop interface agreements and align requirements with equipment vendors.
- Develop/implement plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
- Schedule and execute plans with manufacturing schedules.
- Support expense budget development/management for process control systems.
- Develop/maintain automation standards, specifications, and maintenance plans.
- Own self-development to understand site process control systems.
- Support audits/inspections as SME; coach/train colleagues and stakeholders.
- Use cLEAN tools (systematic problem solving, process improvement, project management).
- Operate with quality mindset (risk management/mitigation); implement change management.
- Support corporate/PS/local IT and stakeholder initiatives; contribute to SOPs/best practices/maintenance procedures.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering/related field (required); OR 7+ years engineering experience (required); OR HS/GED with 9+ years (required); minimum 5 years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems.
- Logistics roles: warehouse automation equipment preferred (AS/RS, AGVs, AMRs, conveyor).
- Knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian (general controls a plus; SAP EWM a plus).
- Proven expertise in planning/organization and project execution (e.g., project management).
- cLEAN/Six Sigma experience preferred.
