Operations
The Position
- Ensure new processes and equipment are compliant with line of business and global standards.
- Work with local/global teams so equipment/processes meet URS/IFA and are ready for install, qualification, and successful ramp-up.
- Improve reliability of process control systems to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements; serve as gatekeeper for standards.
Essential Functions
- Ensure process design compliance with local/global standards.
- Develop interface agreements and align requirements with equipment vendors.
- Develop/implement plans to maintain and improve process control systems; schedule and execute plans with manufacturing.
- Assist with expense budgets; develop/maintain automation standards, specifications, and maintenance plans.
- Build knowledge of site process control systems; support audits/inspections as SME.
- Coach/train colleagues and stakeholders.
- Use cLEAN tools (systematic problem solving, process improvement, project management).
- Apply quality mindset focused on risk management/mitigation; implement change management.
- Support Corporate/PS/local IT/stakeholder initiatives and SOP/best practice/maintenance procedure development.
- Follow safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering/related field (required).
- 7+ years engineering experience (process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging) preferred/considered; or High School/GED with 9+ years; or minimum 5+ years required.
- Logistics roles: warehouse automation preferred (AS/RS, AGVs, AMRs, conveyor).
- Knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL, Historian; general controls plus; SAP EWM plus.
- Project management/planning and execution required; cLEAN/Six Sigma translation of direction to tasks preferred.
