The Position
- Work with business stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to ensure process control systems for existing and/or new equipment/processes align with local and global standards.
- Work with equipment vendors to specify equipment requirements so equipment can connect to and be used in local manufacturing; serve as gatekeeper for standards.

Essential Functions
- Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules.
- Serve as automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
- Own self-development to understand site process control systems.
- Adhere to automation standards; implement changes to automation specifications and maintenance plans.
- Support audits and inspections for process control systems.
- Use appropriate cLEAN tools within Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, and project management.
- Operate with a Quality Mindset focused on risk management/mitigation.
- Implement effective change management.
- Support Corporate/PS/local IT/local stakeholder initiatives and projects.
- Help develop new SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements.

Physical Requirements
- Open office environment with frequent distraction; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- May consider: Associateโ€™s degree + 5+ years; or HS/GED + 7+ years; or minimum 3 years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing/utility/and/or packaging systems.
- Logistics roles: warehouse automation equipment a plus.
- Technologies: SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian; general controls and SAP EWM a plus.
- cLEAN / Six Sigma and planning/execution skills a plus.
