Position Summary
- Provide process automation and computer systems administration for BRD bioprocess control data historians and analytics across lab, K360 pilot, and GMP manufacturing (5L to 5000L).
- Enable information/data flow with process data management architecture and system administration oversight.
- Implement change control, investigate deviations, troubleshoot process control systems, support network architecture, and provide off-hours support.
- Serve as subject matter expert for AVEVA PI; provide backup for DeltaV, Unicorn, and Rockwell.

Key Objectives / Deliverables
- Data Historians: Support AVEVA PI data historian; develop solutions to improve productivity.
- Data Integration & Analytics: Create solutions for scientists/engineers to drive improvement decisions and advanced analytics.
- Innovation & Process Understanding: Use business process/technology knowledge to shape future IT/automation vision.
- Process Improvement/Optimization: Use analytics to deliver safety, quality, and productivity gains.
- Project Delivery: Lead local automation design/delivery; ensure compliance and oversee contractors.
- System Support: Performance monitoring, cyber security, network support, lifecycle plan execution; investigate automation-related deviations.

Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain validation state via documentation/testing.
- Lead deviation and process upset investigations; provide project leadership; ensure regulatory compliance.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s in engineering/computer science (or related) with 3+ yearsโ€™ relevant experience; PhD not considered.
- Experience with process data historian configuration/use.
- System administration and network communications experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Preferred Skills
- AVEVA PI or other server-based historian experience; firewall/network infrastructure knowledge.
- GMP validated systems experience; manufacturing/development site support.
- Process automation platforms (DeltaV, Unicorn, Rockwell); data architecture/OS/app/interface familiarity.
- Strong problem-solving, self-management, and teamwork skills.

Work Conditions
- Monโ€“Fri 8-hour days; occasional off-hours support; travel 0โ€“10%; enter lab/manufacturing areas with PPE.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base pay: $66,000โ€“$149,600; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k), medical/dental/vision, life insurance, PTO, EAP/fitness).
