Primary objectives include designing, deploying, and maintaining automated laboratory and robotic systems to enable reliable scientific workflows. Responsibilities encompass configuring and testing automation modules, troubleshooting mechanical, robotic, and control issues, ensuring safety and facility compliance, and supporting technology evaluations and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; 1+ years of relevant experience in robotics, automation, or laboratory equipment; strong understanding of electromechanical systems, controls, sensors, and troubleshooting. Preferred skills include exposure to PLCs, industrial networks, CAD, Python, C++, and experience in regulated environments such as GMP or GLP labs, with familiarity with liquid handlers, AMRs, cobots, and safety devices. The role involves collaboration with laboratory automation scientists and may require travel for vendor assessments, system builds, or cross-site deployment. Work setup is based in Spring House, PA, with potential travel. This position supports the evolution of integrated, AI-native discovery laboratory automation, connecting scientific processes with scalable operational execution.
