Purpose of the Role:
Associate Vice President, Head of Transactions and M&A for Lilly Neuroscience—leads all business development transactions (M&A, in-licensing, out-licensing/divestitures, equity investments) by partnering with Neuroscience commercial and Lilly Research Labs leaders to identify and execute opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all neuroscience transactions across discovery, preclinical, clinical, and commercial stages (deal negotiations, licensing agreements, M&A, strategic collaborations).
- Lead deal teams; collaborate with Legal, Corporate Investment & Financial Banking, Accounting/Finance Planning, Alliance Management, etc., to maximize success and efficiency/profitability.
- Coach and oversee Senior Directors on the Transactions team.
- Achieve results via individual and team performance.
- Partner with Neuroscience Search & Evaluation to identify/evaluate external opportunities.
- Influence senior leadership/internal/external partners on key decisions for portfolios, technologies, processes, products/molecules, or services.
- Lead large-scale, high-risk/complex business development initiatives.
- Create/foster strategic external relationships; solve unique/complex business problems.
- Identify long- and short-term partner, competitive, and environmental trends.

Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in business development, R&D, finance, sales/marketing, new product planning, or project management.
- Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree (MBA/PhD/MD) preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no anticipated visa sponsorship.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Licensing/M&A/equity investment experience (biotech/pharma); life sciences banking/consulting preferred.
- Clinical development and commercial landscape knowledge; collaboration/influence with executives; R&D and commercialization experience.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving, written/verbal communication, adaptability, negotiation/persuasion.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $243,000–$356,400; potential company bonus.
