Position Summary
Associate Specialist, Value Stream Cryo Operations supports cryopreservation, movement, storage, and control of patient materials used in manufacturing, and liquid nitrogen (LN2) storage tanks/equipment at the CAR T facility in Summit, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Process, store, transfer, distribute, and dispose of patient materials.
- Maintain sample tracking and chain of custody per GMP and written procedures.
- Dispose of expired/obsolete materials per approved procedures.
- Conduct sample queries, inventory tracking, and periodic storage reporting.
- Support investigations, deviations, and CAPA closure for cryopreservation and related sample processes.
- Execute manual/electronic batch records per cGMP, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Keep cryopreservation and logistics activities aligned with production schedules.
- Manage LN2 storage inventory and support daily cryopreservation operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Ensure GDP-compliant, accurate documentation; resolve errors promptly.
- Partner with management on training and personnel readiness.
- Work in a team-based, cross-functional environment; problem-solve with minimal supervision.
- Support overtime and staggered shifts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
OR
- Associate degree/Medical Technical degree with 0–2 years manufacturing/operations experience
OR
- High school diploma/GED with 2–4 years manufacturing/operations experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- cGMP/FDA-regulated environment knowledge; basic math; general cGMP understanding
- Technical writing; Microsoft Office; inventory control/management
- Biology/chemistry/medical or clinical background (plus)
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- $31.90–$38.65/hour (Summit West, NJ)
