Position Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise for design reviews, process hazard/quality risk assessments, factory/site acceptance testing, and automation installation/operational qualification.
- Develop automated processes and qualify equipment/process with cross-functional teams.
- Support technology transfer unit-operations demonstrations for new manufacturing facility.
- Author/update technical documents for automated process design, definition, and qualification.
- Maintain automation systems in compliance with cGMPs.
- Evaluate automation/IT systems and develop strategies to optimize and ensure quality/stability through expansion.
- Troubleshoot, identify trends, monitor processes, perform system administration, update documentation, query data, train operators, and support deviation investigations.
- Develop/execute automation change control and support regulatory filings.
- Communicate via tier process; support process improvement and complex investigations; support digital/data integrity initiatives.
- Provide technical support for complex manufacturing issues; develop standardized work/process/engineering tools.
- Develop/manage SOPs/work instructions for automation; manage alarms and responses.
- Support regulatory submission preparation and inspections.

Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Science, IT, or related field; or
- Associateโ€™s degree in related field with 2 years process automation experience; or
- High school diploma with 5 years process automation experience; highly developed communication/teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills:
- PLCs (Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Siemens S7), SCADA, DCS (Emerson DeltaV), batch reporting, Aveva PI, ASI/Field/Profibus; networking/VMs/database/IT admin.
- Biologics/vaccine/bulk sterile manufacturing; Computer System Validation and new facility start-up; GxP experience.

Required Skills (examples): Process automations, deviation investigations, technology transfer, teamwork, problem solving.

Preferred Skills (examples): Change controls, DeltaV DCS, Siemens TIA Portal, SDLC documentation.
