Role Summary
Associate Scientist in the Protein Development group within the Therapeutic Proteins department. Responsible for purification and characterization of protein reagents.
Responsibilities
- Purifying therapeutic reagents and antibodies for ongoing programs using standard purification systems and automated equipment
- Conducting protein purification and characterization by liquid chromatography (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC)
- Characterizing reagents by Western blotting, SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, CE-SDS, SEC chromatography, spectrophotometry, etc.
- Entering, analyzing, and documenting data of purified characterized reagents in LIMS and presentations
- Communicating results clearly to manager and peers
Qualifications
- Required: BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience in protein purification/characterization
- Required: Strong background in protein chemistry
- Required: Experience with liquid chromatography and isolation techniques (Affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC)
- Preferred: AKTA Avant experience
- Preferred: Experience purifying bispecific antibodies
- Required: Characterization experience of reagents by Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS, and SEC chromatography
- Required: Experience with data entry and notebook keeping using ELN
