Associate Scientist, I

Role: Zebrafish Scientist in Investigative Toxicology and Pathology, focusing on assay development and risk assessment for early-stage therapeutics. Responsibilities: assist with animal husbandry, perform staining and imaging to study toxicity mechanisms, develop and validate new methodologies, conduct independent research on cell, biochemical, and molecular biology assays, generate reliable data, and collaborate cross-functionally within AbbVie. Requirements: BS or MS in cell/molecular biology, toxicology, pharmacology, or related field; 0-2+ years wet lab experience; familiarity with staining, brightfield/fluorescent imaging; strong data interpretation and troubleshooting skills; excellent communication. Preferred: zebrafish husbandry, genetically modified lines, molecular techniques (qRT-PCR, Western Blot), image analysis software.
