Associate Scientist, Analytical Chemistry (entry level) contributing to pharmaceutical analysis for drug product development.

Responsibilities:
- Perform physical and chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished pharmaceutical products, and stability samples per written methods, specifications, and SOPs; comply with cGMP and applicable regulations.
- Use and calibrate analytical instruments including sonic sifter, laser diffraction, Karl Fischer, UV-Vis and IR spectrophotometers, HPLC (UV and conductivity), TLC, pH meter, and dissolution apparatus (with auto-sampler/in-line UV), plus analytical balances and Karl-Fischer titrator.
- Document analysis steps, calculate and report results; investigate laboratory results; review data for completeness and specification compliance.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new analytical technologies and instrumentation.
- Stay current on analytical technology developments; improve lab operations for efficiency and GMP compliance; lead projects and scientific discussions; assist with non-routine special projects (OOS/OAL investigations).

Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA Chemistry or related pharmaceutical sciences (Required); MS/MA Chemistry or related pharmaceutical sciences (Preferred).
- Experience: 1+ year in pharmaceutical experience.
- Knowledge/Skills: US FDA cGMP and SOPs; analytical chemistry/lab procedures; experience with HPLC, GC, TLC, UV and lab equipment; some analytical method development; ability to follow compendial procedures (USP/EP/BP/JP); apply cGMP QC requirements.
- Additional requirement: Successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Base salary range: $68,000 to $85,000 per year.
