About The Role
Emerging internal thought leader and discipline expert driving Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and epidemiology real-world evidence (RWE) across a portfolio of research projects. Leads design, review, execution, and oversight of product/disease-specific projects to establish prevalence, disease burden, epidemiology, and health outcomes. Partners with cross-functional teams (Global Clinical Development, New Product Planning, Drug Safety, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs) to achieve corporate strategic objectives.
Your Contributions
- Design, develop, and implement disease/product-specific HEOR and/or epidemiology projects to inform clinical strategy, value assessment, and market access
- Recommend scientific and business operating plans; help create department vision and goals
- Execute complex epidemiological and real-world data projects and communicate HEOR insights
- Lead highly complex technical research aligned to strategic goals and budget
- Support evidence generation for product launches pre- and post-launch
- Oversee and analyze large data methods (data collection criteria/tools, literature searches, data abstraction)
- Develop reports, manuscripts, and presentations
- Serve as SME with internal/external stakeholders (e.g., patient advocacy partners, academics)
- Guide evidence generation for population prevalence/incidence with commercialization, safety, and clinical development teams
- Partner with business units to address external evidence needs
- Advise/mentor teams and oversee/mentor external consultants and lower-level employees; manage vendors
Requirements
- Masterβs (MPH or life sciences) with 12+ years related experience OR PhD with 5+ years related experience
- Strong presentation, computer, and written communication skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Interpersonal skills; leadership and project management
- Expertise in data analytics, epidemiology, and statistical modeling (R, SAS, STATA or similar); expert Excel
- Robust publication/medical writing experience (peer-reviewed track record)
- Experience with large commercial claims/real-world datasets
- Ability to synthesize complex clinical/statistical information and influence stakeholders
