About The Role
Emerging internal thought leader and discipline expert, driving strategic imperatives to generate Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and epidemiology real-world evidence (RWE) across a portfolio of research projects. Leads the design, review, execution, and oversight of product/disease-specific projects to establish prevalence, disease burden, epidemiology, and health outcomes from disease states and/or treatments. Partners with cross-functional teams (Global Clinical Development, New Product Planning, Drug Safety, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs).
Your Contributions
- Design, develop, and implement disease/product-specific evidence projects for clinical strategy, value assessment, and market access (HEOR/epidemiology)
- Develop departmental vision/goals and recommend HEOR/epidemiology operating plans
- Design and execute complex epidemiological and real-world data studies; communicate HEOR insights
- Drive highly complex technical research, ensuring alignment to strategic goals and cost-efficient budgets
- Support product launches by guiding evidence generation pre- and post-launch
- Oversee/analyze large datasets (data collection criteria/tools, literature searches, data abstraction)
- Author reports, manuscripts, and presentations for internal/external stakeholders
- Provide SME expertise with external stakeholders (patient advocacy partners, academic leaders)
- Guide prevalence/incidence with commercialization, safety, and clinical development teams
- Mentor internal/external sub-teams and external consultants; oversee vendors/experts and related proposal/regulatory contributions
Requirements
- Master’s in public health/life sciences/MPH (or equivalent) + 12+ years related experience OR PhD + 5+ years
- Excellent presentation, computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), interpersonal and written communication skills
- Expert data analytics; expertise in epidemiology; statistical modeling (R, SAS, STATA or similar)
- Strong Excel skills; robust publication/medical writing experience
- Leadership, project management, learning agility; experience with large commercial claims/real-world data
