What You Will Do
- Provide support for QC Centralized Raw Material Testing in the Wet Chemistry Laboratory at Amgen Rhode Island (Monday–Friday administrative shift).
- Support analytical testing of raw materials to meet Amgen specifications and ensure continuous raw material supply for production.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety guidelines, cGMPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Generate complete, accurate, and concise laboratory documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebooks.
- Ensure facilities, equipment, materials, processes, procedures, and products follow cGMP practices and applicable regulations.
- Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Perform review and approval of assays, documents, and records.
- Support Continual Improvement initiatives.
- Alert management of quality, compliance, supply, and safety risks.
- Participate in laboratory investigations.
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities.
- Complete required assigned training.
- Perform additional duties as specified by management.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and 2 years of Quality or Operations experience, OR
- Associate’s degree and 6 months of Quality or Operations experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing analytical testing per Methods and/or Compendia.
- Experience with QC analytical and/or Quality systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team matrix environment and build relationships.
- Experience leading teams or projects.
- Experience auditing and defending processes during regulatory inspections.
- Strong technical writing skills in a highly regulated environment.
- Exposure to Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with structured problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on schedule.
