Role: Associate Principal Engineer – Cloud Platform, focusing on designing and developing cloud-based products and services for Exelixis, including automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS provisioning automation. Responsibilities: lead large projects, refine development processes from ideation to production, guide technical strategy, and act as SME on platform architecture; collaborate with application support teams to optimize cloud interfaces; ensure operational excellence and compliance, including documentation and security controls; mentor engineers and stay current on industry trends. Requirements: Master’s degree with 9+ years or Bachelor’s with 11+ years in cloud infrastructure, with at least 10 years’ experience in production AWS environments; expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, IAM), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation; familiarity with regulated environments like SOX or FDA is a plus.
