Role Summary
Associate Operator, Production API, working overnight from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sets up equipment for routine processes and operates complex equipment under supervision to monitor manufacturing processes. Communicates operational events and issues, supports process improvements, and may train with certified/qualified trainers. Position involves rotating 12-hour shifts (two 12-hour shifts on/2 days off, and three 12-hour shifts on/3 days off).
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of basic jobs in assigned area of responsibility and GMP policies; demonstrates compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Proficient in manual or controlled process equipment.
- Learn and expand knowledge with help of certified/qualified trainer; comprehend and apply technical, regulatory, and safety training.
- Ability to troubleshoot problem situations with occasional assistance.
- Under occasional supervision, make timely decisions to accomplish department goals; recommend process improvements and take ownership of tasks.
- Actively listen to acquire information, share information to promote efficiency, and participate in meetings.
- Resolve conflicts in a professional and constructive manner with individuals inside and outside the operating environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Basic technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in a chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of department operating procedures and guidelines, and safety rules related to normal duties.
