Job Description Summary
The Associate Manager, North America Commercial & Medical Affairs Finance is a Finance Business Partner to the North America Commercial & Medical Affairs organization. Key deliverables include forecasts, budgets, monthly accruals & business commentary, and financial strategy. Ensures proper expense recognition and compliance with internal controls and relevant regulatory requirements/SOPs.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Commercial/Medical Affairs stakeholders; act as a trusted business partner.
- Serve as one point of contact for Finance & Accounting topics.
- Lead annual OPEX budget preparation and provide periodic forecast updates.
- Create and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual variance analyses and dashboards; communicate drivers behind results.
- Maintain close communication with budget owners on risks/opportunities affecting forecasts.
- Support monthly closing (including journal entries for accruals/reclassifications).
- Prepare management reporting, KPI, and audit schedules as needed.
- Ensure correct accounting treatment for financial results.
- Maintain standard reporting tools to identify key risks/opportunities.
- Support financial/business controls including SOX.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; minimum 5 years relevant FP&A experience in pharma/biotech or related OR equivalent education/experience.
- Strategic thinking; accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting experience.
- Ability to meet timeline-driven reporting and project deadlines.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail; hands-on month-end closing experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (excellent Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal/written communication; comfortable speaking in larger meetings.
- Desire to learn the business; work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced matrix environment.
- Analytical problem-solving; adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to leverage company AI platform for efficiencies.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management.

Preferred
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, generative AI models.
