Associate General Counsel, IP Litigation
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex, high-stakes patent litigation, licensing disputes, and other IP matters in the U.S. and globally.
- Develop litigation strategy with internal/external counsel; oversee all phases (case assessment, discovery, witness prep, expert strategy, dispositive motions, trial prep, trial, appeal).
- Advise senior leaders on litigation strategy and risk management.
- Provide freedom-to-operate, validity, exclusivity, and due diligence assessments for business/licensing/development/commercialization decisions.
- Conduct IP portfolio assessments, including preparation for generic/biosimilar challenges.
- Serve as a substantive thought leader in IP law.
- Supervise and train junior IP litigation attorneys.
- Provide input on improving client services amid changing legal/political landscape affecting IP.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills (Required/Preferred):
- 12+ years of relevant patent litigation experience (private practice or in-house), focused on pharmaceuticals/biotech/life sciences. Advanced degree in related life sciences strongly preferred.
- J.D. from accredited law school; admitted to at least one U.S. state bar required. USPTO admission is a plus.

- Occasional domestic and occasional international travel.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $281,010.00β$363,660.00. May be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives; paid time off; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
