Associate General Counsel, IP Litigation

Role: Senior IP Litigator serving as Associate General Counsel for Gilead, leading complex patent litigation, licensing disputes, and IP matters globally. Responsibilities: develop litigation strategies, oversee all phases of high-stakes IP cases, advise senior leadership on IP risks, conduct freedom-to-operate and portfolio assessments, and mentor junior attorneys. Requirements: minimum 12 years of patent litigation experience within pharmaceuticals, biotech, or life sciences, with a strong understanding of industry-specific IP law; J.D. from an accredited law school, admission to at least one U.S. state bar, and preferred USPTO practice.
