Key Position Responsibilities:
- Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice across the product lifecycle to transition from clinical to commercial-stage gene therapy.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements (distributors, patient support services, market access, data licensing, speaker bureau, advisory board, and commercial manufacturing/supply); develop scalable templates.
- Partner with commercial leadership on launch readiness, promotional strategy, market development, patient engagement initiatives, and commercial operations.
- Advise on interactions with healthcare professionals/institutions, patient advocacy organizations, and payers.
- Counsel on healthcare compliance (Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA/privacy, Open Payments/Sunshine, FDA advertising/promotion, state laws, patient assistance programs); manage compliance framework and review/promotional materials; advise on MLR activities and global KOL/HCP interactions.
- Advise on U.S. and international privacy laws affecting patient and clinical data and commercial activities.
- Review digital health, patient engagement, AI, and data analytics projects.

Experience Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 10–15+ years relevant legal experience; significant biotech/pharma/gene/cell therapy/life sciences experience.
- Demonstrated negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
- Strong FDA and healthcare compliance knowledge.
- Experience advising commercial, market access, medical affairs, and compliance.
- Exceptional drafting/negotiation/communication/counseling; independent work in fast-paced growth environment.
- Experience supporting product launches; familiarity with global/ex-U.S. markets.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Base salary range: $285,438–$328,702; eligibility for short- and long-term incentives (cash bonus and equity).
