Associate Engineer

Role: Associate Engineer supporting process development and optimization of synthetic unit operations in biopharma manufacturing, with a focus on chemical process scale-up and technology transfer. Responsibilities: design and execute experiments, analyze data, develop process models, author technical documentation, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, and Quality teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent engineering experience; strong communication skills; experience with process scale-up, modeling, analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR), and statistical analysis. Preferred: lab experience in synthetic or hybrid drug substance manufacturing, capability in process modeling platforms, and knowledge of process development and transfer. High-value specifics: focus on chemical process development for biopharmaceuticals, supporting manufacturing scale-up and transfer; global collaboration with an emphasis on process robustness and safety. Work setup: located in Thousand Oaks, CA, with travel up to 20%.
