Job Description: An engineering/analyst professional who applies engineering and/or scientific knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete basic assignments related to a specific technical field or discipline.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable Quality regulations/standards, EH&S Global Policies, AbbVie Engineering Standards, and other governance; identify compliance risks; assist with developing/revising procedures and standards.
- Define project scope with stakeholders; convert goals to tasks/steps; plan and manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet cost/quality/time expectations; participate in basic economic analysis and feasibility studies; support achievement of financial targets.
- Plan and conduct small assigned projects using conventional plans/investigations/equipment; implement work plans; monitor execution and document/ report status to management; coordinate with QA/Validation/Engineering/technical support for qualification activities (e.g., EFU qualification/cleaning validation) and prototypes/experiments.
- Assist training for operation of facilities/processes/equipment; establish contacts with supervisor and project leaders.
- Stay current on technical/competitive environment; assist in design of products/processes/equipment/systems/facilities; investigate, test, gather data, perform preliminary analysis, and communicate findings and action plans.
- Interpret problems and create/modify design solutions; review layouts/standards and propose designs; improve methods/designs/processes; recognize innovations and cost reductions.
- Build relationships and maintain open, honest communication with colleagues/customers/contractors/vendors.
- Communicate effectively via verbal, written, and presentations; increase customer satisfaction; document agreements/commitments and keep customers informed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science (or closely related) desired, or equivalent technical experience with demonstrated competence.
- Entry level; typically <2 years experience.
- Ability to quickly learn AbbVie processes/policies/methods; strong human relations.
- Works well with diverse groups and internal/external collaborators.
- Tactful, respectful communication in oral/written/presentations.
- Collaborative, fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.
- Ability to recognize risks vs. relative gains.
