Position Title: Associate Director, US Medical Learning, Cardiovascular (CV)
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight for designated therapeutic areas; support/guides a Senior Manager within Medical Learning as needed.
- Design, develop, coordinate, and update Field Medical (FM) new hire, disease state, product, and data onboarding; conduct needs assessments/evaluations to drive quarterly updates; align with WW Medical Scientific Learning, WW Commercialization Learning, and US FM and Home Office Medical (HOM) teams.
- Ensure launch readiness of FM through innovative learning design and strategic collaboration; conduct Field Readiness Validations with US Field Medical Managers; develop/provide mentoring and field-based learning programs.
- Design, develop, and deploy ongoing therapeutic area medical/scientific education/training for US FM teams; conduct needs assessments/evaluations; align with matrix partners to meet US Medical needs.
- Support training for BMS scientific data releases at major US congresses (e.g., data training, post-congress contextualization, knowledge assessments, recorded media).
- Create and/or adapt internal materials/tools to support US FM in delivering product information and data to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with US FM leaders, US Medical Affairs, and WW Medical Learning colleagues to research/select outside speakers/consultants for timely therapeutic area presentations.
- Design training sessions using Adult Learning Principles; optimize learning, ensure timing consistency, and protect field time.
- Evaluate scientific learning materials/programs and recommend updates with stakeholder alignment.
- Incorporate innovation, new processes, and technologies into learning solutions; identify efficiencies for content development.
- Create annual strategic learning plans for FM teams; align with US HOM, US FM Leadership, and WW Medical Learning.
- Organize, execute, and maintain US FM training for BMS priority tiered clinical trials; collaborate with Medical Excellence, WW Medical Learning, US FM Leadership, and R&D.
- Align with key stakeholders to ensure learning solutions/resources meet therapeutic area strategic imperatives and medical communication/listening priorities.
Other Responsibilities:
- Conduct business in accordance with Bristol Myers Squibb values.
- Complete assigned SOPs/training on time and adhere to job-specific SOPs/guidance documents.
- Coordinate with commercialization matrix partners (e.g., marketing, commercial sales training).
- Manage vendors and budgets for the book of work; comply with procurement SOPs (SOWs/POs).
- Demonstrate flexibility/resilience during competing priorities.
- Manage/maintain training materials and strategic plans using BMS platforms.
- Attend live business-critical FM meetings as needed (including major US congresses); participate in onboarding and on-the-job training.
Qualifications & Experience (Required/Preferred):
- Advanced degree required: MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, PhD, or MSN (strongly preferred).
- 5+ years therapeutic area (TA) experience (preferred).
- 7β10 years combined pharmaceutical/biotech experience with MSL or similar field-based role experience.
- Strong skills in public presentation.
- Exceptional organizational/planning skills.
- Ability to interact cross-functionally and across geographies.
- Ability to assess workload and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to build/maintain partnerships.
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of adult learning principles and effective learning solution design.
- Self-starter; emotionally intelligent; positive attitude; results-oriented.
- Ability to manage/coordinate complex projects with minimal direction.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated):
- Princeton, NJ (US) salary range: $166,350β$201,571; additional incentive cash/stock may be available (eligibility-based).
