The Associate Director, Training will lead the Training organization across the Group Vice President (GVP) area to drive compliance and performance improvements within a regulatory environment. Set a clear training vision aligned with business strategy, drive engagement, foster continuous improvement, and ensure capabilities for current and future priorities.

Lead Training Managers and Training Partners across the GVP area. Drive alignment, capability development, operational excellence, and consistent implementation of training standards and best practices. Build partnerships with business leaders, coach training leaders, create a connected training community, and enable knowledge sharing. Lead timely capability building to close gaps from strategic workforce planning. Drive talent management, workforce planning and agility, organizational effectiveness, fast “Time-to-Perform,” and maturity assessments/improvements.

Ensure training compliance and inspection readiness across the GVP area. Lead process managers of Job Specific Training at each site and ensure responses to compliance signals. Build synergies and standardizations as relevant. Contribute to strategic enterprise improvements as part of the Global Manufacturing Supply (GMS) Training Leadership Team.

Essential Functions:
- Lead/train/engage training personnel; set direction for training partners; support competence development; evolve organization/manning/competencies; practice cLEAN leadership; support systematic problem solving and cGxP compliance; manage training budget; build and scale best-practice solutions; oversee training systems; establish a network of training leaders.
- Strategic partnering/area process management: ensure training compliance/inspection readiness; spar with GVP/VP managers; drive yearly/quarterly implementation plans; represent the area in relevant GMS projects.
- Drive improvements/impact: link operations to strategic targets; close capability gaps; lead maturity assessments; promote continuous improvement; coach SPS; role model Novo Nordisk Way.
- Communication/change management with stakeholders.
- High independence; administrative responsibilities; annual wheel activities.
- Follow safety & environmental requirements.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (related field) + 7 years relevant experience.
- In lieu: Bachelor’s + 9 years; Associate’s + 11 years; or High School + 13 years.
- Excellent working knowledge of training and training systems in regulated environments (preferably pharma).
- People leadership experience (leading leaders preferred).
- Strong Lean or Lean Six Sigma training competencies in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements: Work in office/shopfloor environment; travel up to 10%.

Development of People: Supervise team with IDPs, annual goals/measurements, interim reviews, learning/aspiration plans; apply/communicate policies.
